Season is a new artist-run-initiative on Gadigal Country, Zetland. We present public programs in dialogue with exhibitions.

What we call a Season comprises an exhibition and a series of related workshops, forums, lectures, classes, gatherings, and publications. These public programs are led by artists, writers, scientists, musicians, chefs, theorists, architects, engineers, makers, technologists, and organisers. During a Season, our public programs invite you to see the exhibition through diverse practices and fields. Through these various perspectives, we seek to explore, expand, and challenge the Season's ideas, together.

Season operates from Joynton Avenue Creative Centre (JACC). Our space consists of a gallery, a resident artist's studio, and a collective workspace which will be open for use by the community collaborators who contribute to each Season.

Open Season

Our first Season will begin in Spring 2026. In the meantime, our space is free-of-cost to hire for events and short-term activations by the community. In addition to community use during this period, Season will host various off-Season programs: workshops, events, reading groups, and fundraisers.

If you would like to use Season's space, please get in contact via the form or visit us during our Gallery Warmings where we can casually dream and brainstorm together. You can also arrange a time to chat in-person or over the phone by emailing us at: info@season-season.org.
